Our Story

A family-owned sanctuary, built from lived experience.

Co-Founder

Kimberly Ocaña

Kim is a trauma survivor, mother, and somatic facilitator. Her path into this work began with her own healing — and the slow, hard-won realization that most retreat spaces weren't built for people like her.

At Ananda, she leads women's retreats, designs the integration framework, and trains every team member in trauma-informed care.

Co-Founder

Jason Ocaña

Jason spent 18 years as a firefighter paramedic. He knows what it costs to carry other people's worst days — and what it takes to find your way back to yourself.

He co-leads our First Responders retreats and holds the practical, grounded side of the container — logistics, safety, and the steady masculine presence so many of our guests have been missing.

Our Mission

To create the retreat we wished existed — a place where people are truly held, where the work extends far beyond the ceremony, and where healing happens in the safety of real human relationships.

Our Team

The people who hold you.

Shipibo maestros, somatic therapists, integration coaches, and a kitchen team who treat every meal as part of the medicine. Every retreat is staffed at a 2:1 ratio.
